As a participant of our Financial Trainee Programme you will gain insights into strategic decision-making, business processes and the working culture at Deutsche Börse Group from various perspectives.

Within our CFO division, you will be involved in various finance related tasks such as analysing financial performance to steer the business, optimising processes or establishing an effective and efficient risk management system. You will get the chance to gain insights about all kind of different aspects. For example, if you are interested in accounting or controlling, you will be able to get to know topics like managerial accounting, covering planning & decision support as well as performance evaluation & analysis.Based on your interests, we will give you the opportunity to choose the areas of your work from different elective modules.

What you can expect

Job rotation within the CFO division

During each station you will gain insight into strategic decision-making, business processes and learn how to operate in a diverse shareholder landscape.

  1. Financial Accounting & Controlling (~ 5 months)
    Areas of work: accounting, controlling, capital planning, regulatory reporting etc.
  2. Risk Management (~ 5 months)
    Areas of work: financial risk, non-financial risk, model validation, internal control systems, business continuity management etc.
  3. Investor Relations (~ 1 month)
  4. Treasury (~ 1 month)

Internationality

  • You have the choice to start your Financial Trainee Programme in Germany or Luxembourg. However, you will interact with our colleagues from all over the world and get the chance to work from three different locations during the programme: Frankfurt, Luxembourg and Prague. This will help you to develop an extensive network and get to know other locations of Deutsche Börse Group.

Networking

  • You will get the chance to develop an excellent network within Deutsche Börse Group during the programme, which you can leverage to kick-start your career.  

Mentoring

  • You will be matched with an experienced colleague acting as your personal mentor and supporting your professional and personal development throughout the whole programme.

Personal development & trainings

  • Your personal development is an integral part of the programme and will be promoted. As such, you will have the chance to participate in different trainings from our Capital Markets Academy and digital learning platform.
