YOUR TASKS
A state-of-the-art structure-borne sound sensor has been developed by Hella in collaboration with the University Bremen in project SHAKE for health monitoring of automobile’s structural body parts.
- The idea is to use the sensor to develop an acoustic element embedded in a carbon fiber body, so damages or pre-damages can be detected in the body structure.
- This embedded element shall be evaluated and selected according to scientific aspects.
- The developed configuration shall help to create a health monitoring of carbon fiber bodies (components) using structure-borne sound analysis.
- Also, different features of these signals are to be investigated to devise identification
parameters for distinguishing healthy and damaged bodies. - A comparison on performance of these identification parameters is to be carried out in the end to comment on the roustness and usability of the overall system.
