Overview

The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria is a non-profit non-government organisation that is working towards the strengthening of international relations. In order to meet this goal, ACB conducts a wide range of activities, including forums, international conferences, various initiatives. In addition to the abovementioned areas of activity, ACB organises cultural displays, discussions, exhibitions and activities related to international exchange.

The ACB relies on a large and diverse team that is able to work with different languages and can communicate in various cultural environments, in order to conduct an even wider specter of activities. This is precisely why ACB offers internship to people, willing to devote their time and energy in assisting the work of the Club. 

The ACB offers internship opportunities to young people, who would like to receive practical experience, while working for a non-government organisation in the field of foreign policy. The internship provides the interns with the opportunity to assist the development and realisation of all our programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Research on newspaper articles, publications, reports, other official documents of the club on relevant topics;
  • written translations of official documents, reports, publications, official letters, brochures;
  • taking participation in conference organizing- general administrative tasks, contacts with institutions, welcoming guests, making resumes on held meetings and made presentations;
  • making research on possibilities for applying for providing finance for projects on certain programmes;
  • making marketing research, gathering information for certain companies, held conferences and events;
  • official communication with media;
  • making presentations, logos, information brochures;
  • technical maintenance on the official site of the club;
  • contacts with representatives of embassies, ministries and institutions.

Note: Due to the large amount of activities and programs that ACB undertakes, interns need to be able to take initiative with minimal supervision. Each intern works as a part of a team under the leadership of one program director or coordinator.

Description of Ideal Candidate

The ACB expects applications from people with an active interest in the field of international relations and desire to support the activities of a growing non-government organisation. Due to the nature of our work, we are keen on flexibility, positive attitude and the ability to work as a part of a team. The applicants should have a good written and verbal knowledge in English. Every other foreign language is an advantage, depending on the program that the intern is working on.

ACB is looking for people with experience and/or interest in the area of international relations and diplomacy, strategic security, the European Union, NATO, judicial sciences, space law, internet, web-design.
