Overview
STM Uganda is now looking for interns and volunteers who are inspired by the ideas and work of the STM to gain professional skills working on STM’s projects and a substantive learning experience on our core ideas. Projects are designed to enhance each intern’s specific academic background and interests. Interns receive mentorship and training from STM staff members.

Description of Ideal Candidate
Both ideal volunteers and interns must hold a Bachelor’s Degree and pass a criminal history record check. They must also possess a strong desire to protect and promote the livelihood of the marginalized while making a positive impact on society. Candidates must be proactive, self-driven, resourceful, detail-oriented, and humble individuals with willingness to learn and share skills.
Other key skills are: Fundraising and proposal writing, training management, capacity building, strategic planning, good communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills, integration skills, development skills and research skills.

Training for this position will be provided at the four-hour orientation session. In addition, the director of volunteers is available on an ongoing basis to answer questions and provide other assistance as needed.
