The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Programme was established by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs to enable French higher education establishments to attract top foreign students to enrol in their master’s and PhD courses.
It helps to shape the future foreign decision-makers of the private and public sectors, in priority areas of study, and encourages applications from emerging countries at master’s level, and from emerging and industrialized countries at PhD level.
Duration of the scholarship
PhD Programme: the Eiffel scholarship is allocated for a maximum of 12 months (a break-down can be operated).
Master’s programme: the Eiffel scholarship is allocated for:
- A maximum of 12 months, for an M2 enrollment (Year 2 of the Master’s degree)
- A maximum of 24 months, for an M1 enrollment ( Year 1 of the Master’s degree)
- A maximum of 36 months, for enrolling in a Master of Engineering degree

Selection procedure

PhD scholarships: international PhD student under 30 of age, under a co-supervised or co-directed PhD programme in any field of study. You must be applying for the first time (no possibility of combining the Eiffel scholarship with another financial aide from the French government).

At Master's: international student under 25 of age, in the field of engineering sciences, political science, law, economics, management. You must be applying for the first time (no possibility of combining the Eiffel scholarship with another financial aide from the French government).
