Consumer technology and media services have unlocked the need to provide customers with a more authentic and personalised online experience. As one of the key disruptors of the digital landscape, this domain has the potential to fundamentally shift the relationship between businesses and their audience.
• Environment, Energy and Green Technologies: Digital technologies support the transition to greener value chains. With the rapid expansion of the Asia-Pacific economy in the last decade and recovery after the recent economic challenges, there is increasing demand for more sustainable energy solutions. Regional government and industry leaders have made sustainable practices and green solutions a key priority, and the industry is expected to generate US$1 trillion in economic opportunities annually in the Southeast Asian region by 2030.
• Health and Biomedical: Cutting-edge technology in the sectors of health technology (healthtech), biotechnology (biotech) and medical technology (medtech) continue to be in demand. With significant advances in healthcare technology, new methods are necessary to support the high demand for access to healthcare and the growing digitalisation of protected health information. The healthcare industry has evolved in innovative and novel ways to continue to deliver quality services.
• Manufacturing, Trade and Connectivity: Manufacturers face changes on multiple fronts. One such change is the move towards advanced manufacturing — the increased adoption of innovative technologies such as advanced materials and robotics. At the same time, increased connectivity and more sophisticated data-gathering enabled by the Internet of Things (IoT) have led to a shift toward an information-based economy. The adoption of connectivity technologies and analytics by manufacturers have also grown significantly over the past five years.
• Transformative Digital Technologies: The adoption of digital technology has accelerated rapidly in recent years, across industries, consumer segments and global cities. In 2023, there were more than 5.3 billion active internet users around the globe, accounting for 65.4% of the global population.

• GLOBAL CALL - 12 Mar to 1 Jul: Register on the platform and submit your presentation.
• PHYSICAL IMMERSION - 23 to 25 Oct: The Top 50 Global Startups will fly down to Singapore to meet and network with local ecosystem partners.
• DOMAIN FINALS & GRAND FINALS - 28 to 30 Oct:
• Top 50 Global Startups will pitch LIVE at SWITCH on 28 and 29 Oct.
• The Top 10 Global Startups will be selected to pitch at the Grand Finals on 30 Oct for the chance to become SLINGSHOT 2024’s Grand Winner.
