WAAW (Working to Advance Science and Technology Education for African Women) Foundation is an international non-profit organization founded in 2007. Headquartered in Lagos Nigeria with an operational office in Wylie, Texas. Our Mission is to increase the pipeline of African women entering into Science and Technology fields and ensure they are engaged in Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship to benefit Africa.

Volunteers are critical to the mission and growth of WAAW Foundation. Much of our success is attributed to the countless hours contributed by our volunteers. Our initiatives rely on teams of dedicated volunteers doing their work both in the United States and several African countries (including Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Cameroon).
We seek volunteers with expertise in executive assistance, curriculum development, grant writing, program development and logistics, information technology, monitoring and evaluation of education programs, quantitative analysis, computer programming, social media management, communications, and more!

If you are a STEM educator at any level, with a desire to help teach, develop curriculum or implement any of our programs from our STEM camp to STEM outreach programs in Africa, let us hear from you!
WAAW Foundation is always looking for qualified facilitators and trainers with experience teaching Math, Science, Computers, Programming or Roboticis to work with our youth ages 13-25 years old on real life problems in Africa. We focus on using affordable, locally sourced materials and hands on learning
