Balkan Civil Society Development Network supports a variety of its projects by providing Internship opportunities for Graduate and post-graduate students.

BCSDN strives to build a working environment conducive to interns’ substantive learning and professional development by introducing them to the work in a network of regional organisations and to the functioning of the CSOs in EU and international institutions related to Enabling Environment, CSO Accountability, Capacity Building, etc., encompassing the geographic area of the Western Balkans and Turkey.

About Us

Balkan Civil Society Development Network (BCSDN) is a network of 14 civil society organizations from 11 countries in the Balkans  (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria Croatia, Kosovo, Romania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Turkey).

Our mission

To empower the civil society and influence European and national policies towards more enabling environment for civil society development in order to ensure sustainable and functioning democracies in the Balkans.

Our goals and objectives

  1. Increase the role of civil society by strengthening its voice in policy- and decision-making at national, regional and EU level;
  2. Promote the civil dialogue between the civil society actors, state institutions and the European Union in order to influence the public policies;
  3. Develope advocacy knowledge and skills among civil society actors as a base for greater impact; and
  4. Strengthen communication, coordination and cooperation between the civil society actors in the Balkan region.

Required Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Political Science, Economics, or related field;
  2.  Passion for research, committed to the development of civil society in a free and open society
  3. Strong organizational skills and self-motivation;
  4. Well-developed skills in research, analysis, and writing;
  5. Excellent knowledge of English and any other language in SEE is an advantage;
  6. Working proficiency in word processing and IT basics;
  7. Ability to work co-operatively with people of different ethnic and national backgrounds;
  8. Experience and ability to work in a demanding environment and within limited time frames
