Bioversity International has been producing research-for-development solutions for almost 40 years investigating and promoting the conservation and use of agricultural and forest biodiversity.

The topic of the research should be aligned with one of Bioversity International’s areas of expertise. We deliver a research-for-development portfolio that covers the following specialist areas:

  • Adaptation to climate change;
  • Agricultural ecosystems;
  • Conservation and use of bananas and tree crops;
  • Conservation of crop diversity;
  • Diet diversity for nutrition and health;
  • Forest and tree genetic diversity;
  • Fruit tree and tree crop diversity;
  • Marketing diversity;
  • Policies for plant diversity management;
  • Production and marketing of bananas and tree crops.
