Founded in 2012, Canada International Model United Nations (CAIMUN) is the premier Model United Nations (MUN) conference in Canada, annually hosting over 1000 participants from around the globe, including Malaysia, Venezuela, and all over Canada and the United States. We provide an exceptional, realistic, and professional MUN experience, whether that be through our keynote speakers, informative background guides, extensively trained staff, and comprehensive planning to ensure each moment of the conference is executed with quality.

At its core, Model United Nations is an educational simulation of the UN’s numerous bodies, assemblies, councils, and agencies. At CAIMUN, these are referred to with one umbrella term as “committees.”
Each year, CAIMUN convenes over 1000 participants from all around the globe to simulate over 20 committees charged with addressing the world’s issues. CAIMUN is hosted at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Downtown Vancouver, Canada. The conference runs for three days in late May over a certain weekend, beginning on Friday and ending on Sunday afternoon. Each committee is allocated its own special conference room at the hotel, and all participants are housed in hotel rooms at the Hyatt Regency directly through CAIMUN for the weekend.
CAIMUN’s committees are not limited to the UN’s various bodies such as the UN Security Council, but also include various other issue-addressing bodies such as the British Parliament, United States Senate, the Asia Cooperation Dialogue, and many more from around the globe. Each committee carries its own set topics, unique to its mandate, jurisdiction, and other relevance. Students attending the conference (delegates) represent a given country or position in a committee and debate said committee’s topics over the weekend to address and solve to the issue at hand. Each annual session of CAIMUN features a different, unique set of committees and topics.
