Welcome to CMUNCE XXIII
America's premier crisis Model UN simulation for high school students from around the globe, taking place in the greatest city in the world
CMUNCE is the premier crisis conference for high school students in the United States. This year, the Columbia International Relations Council and Association (CIRCA) will host CMUNCE XXIII on the Columbia University Morningside Heights campus in New York City from January 11th to 14th, 2024.
The hallmark of CMUNCE is its fast-paced crisis committees, which allow students to react quickly and solve real world problems in international affairs. The conference offers a diverse blend of committees from different historical periods and regions of the world. The committees of CMUNCE are small, most under 25 delegates, to provide students with the opportunity to participate in debate and actively learn.
CMUNCE's location also offers a variety of exciting outside-of-committee opportunities in the city of New York through our unique programming initiatives, from tours of permanent United Nations missions to private meetings with diplomats and the Saturday night Delegate Dance.
Our conference is organized and run by over 100 talented Columbia students comprising the staff and Secretariat, representing the most diverse of backgrounds, and all with a common spirit of professionalism and goal of promoting dialogue within the realm of international relations.
We look forward to seeing you at CMUNCE!
