The global HR Graduate Program offers you a unique working experience at Continental. As a member of the HR Graduate Program you will be part of a multi-cultural business team and gain a holistic picture of different business topics related to HR fields. In 24 months you will have the opportunity to shape your own training initiatives, develop a professional global network and chart your own journey of discovery through the HR world of Continental guided by experienced colleagues, experts and mentors.
During your HR Graduate Program you will work on challenging global and local project assignments which will enhance your HR knowledge and soft skills. Visits to customers, suppliers and diverse Continental facilities will provide you with a sound understanding of market and plant perspectives which are key components of the overall business process. You will be able to build a personal network and make a big step forward towards a successful career as an HR professional in a global company.
Step by Step guide
The program starts with a welcome week in Hanover where all the HR graduates from all over the world get together.
The first assignment will be at your home location. From the daily business at local HR, you will develop yourself to be equipped with the necessary knowledge in the field of HR and major business processes of internal HR customers, supplemented with soft skill and basic business trainings. The next two rotations can be designed flexibly depending on your individual plans and business demands, you will be assigned to several HR topics during the second and third rotation, e.g. ranging from an insight in central functions or international plants and market locations. As an example of assignment in central function, you will have opportunities to be located in one of our global or regional centers and you will obtain the skills and knowledge either in one of the centersof expertise or a HR service center (Employer Branding & Recruiting, Talent Management and Organizational Development, Compensation & Benefits, International Assignments, HR Controlling, etc.). Regarding the international plant and market aspect, you could be assigned to an HR department at one of our worldwide plants or market organizations in order to gain holistic business picture of our business.The major focus of your forth rotation will be on-the-job training to gain final practical experience for the upcoming placement. Throughout the program,you will receive adequate trainings and business mentoring. You will sharpen your skills and gain practical experience for the final placement.

Description of Ideal Candidate:
- You are a university graduate with a Bachelor or Master degree in human resources, business, economics, psychology, social sciences or similar.
- You have excellent English language skills.
- You have gained practical experience (study abroad or internship).
- You are driven by passion and have strong interpersonal, as well as communication skills. Above all you are a responsible and commited team player who has high operational readiness and enjoys working in a multicultural environment.
