The programme will train a new generation of engineers, researchers, and sustainability managers to address the major challenges posed by green and digital transitions.
Details
Introduction
Our world is at the precipice of irreversible climate change and global warming that threatens the very existence of humanity. The green and digital revolutions are key to addressing this challenge requiring innovative, high-performance, and economically competitive devices to fundamentally transform our carbon footprints and impact on the ecosystems.
However, the crucial resources and materials required for such a transition have a limited supply. Moreover, the industrial impact on the environment in extracting, refining and processing them as useful inputs is often neglected.
Developing higher-performance devices for the green and digital transition while considering their feasibility, viability and sustainability in the face of our post-industrial reality is the necessary precondition for a successful change. The world needs a new generation of researchers, engineers, and sustainability managers that are able to address this global challenge. The GREENANO Master is a key step towards building the leaders for a better tomorrow.
The European Green Deal
The European Green Deal initiative is a major milestone in the history of Europe to address the long-term challenges of climate change and environmental degradation. The Deal aims to transform our continent into a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy by 2050.
In parallel, similar global initiatives are being mainstreamed in the key regions of the world and at the supranational forums like the United Nations.
This global task requires tremendous efforts and acumen from research and education institutions. The students involved in such institutions will be the leading Green Deal agents of change for tomorrow, addressing head-on the global climate challenge.
Strategic Partnerships
GREENANO EMJM develops strong partnerships with industry and leading universities worldwide to provide greater value to the students and assure the sustainability of the programme through comprehensive networking and collaboration.
GREENANO Consortium
GREENANO EMJM is jointly designed by an international consortium of four major higher education and research institutions in Europe leading in their disciplines to strengthen European cooperation and enhance the quality of higher education. Our multinational team combines experience with passion, creativity, and dedication.
