Description of Ideal Candidate

  • To apply, students must meet a minimum GPA requirement and answer a scholarship question with an essay one to two pages long.
  • Scholarship applications can be submitted online.

There are two main groups of students who study abroad with EESA:

1. Russian language majors choose EESA’s intensive language program and receive 20 hrs+ of language classes per week. The program entails full cultural immersion, Russian-only speaking environment, learning activities and speaking clubs outside of classroom. Many students appreciate the opportunity to take Ukrainian language classes as well. All language courses are offered at any level from beginning to advanced.

2. Students from virtually any other fields of study may enroll in the EESA program and take courses in English. There is no foreign language prerequisite to study abroad with EESA! Classes taught in English can be combined with any number of Russian or Ukrainian language courses for those who wish to earn credits towards their major while learning/improving their language skills.

No matter what your background is, EESA has a perfect study abroad program for you! We work individually with every student on selecting the academic courses, finding financing opportunities and arranging for the most rewarding overall study abroad experience!
