The Falling Walls Global Call for Science Breakthroughs invites researchers, innovators and teams worldwide to present the scientific breakthroughs shaping our future. Across multiple categories, we honour those driving solutions to global challenges, connecting disciplines, perspectives and generations. Finalists present their work at the Falling Walls Science Summit in Berlin where international experts, decision makers and global audiences explore the breakthroughs defining tomorrow.
2025 SCIENCE SUMMIT HIGHLIGHTS
The Falling Walls Science Summit 2025 united scientists, policymakers and industry leaders to ask: “What are the next walls to fall in science and society?” Over four days, more than 2,000 attendees heard from Nobel laureates Katalin Karikó and Brian Schmidt, German Federal Minister Dorothee Bär and astronaut Matthias Maurer, and celebrated the Science Breakthroughs of the Year. Science leaders from over 600 institutions engaged in cross-disciplinary debates, driving scientific exchange.
