Details

As a link between the EU and Southeast Europe, Styria has always played an active role in scientific and cultural exchange between the states and has the necessary potential for future-oriented developments. Thanks to its expertise and knowledge of both the needs and the potential for cooperation in Southeastern Europe, the University of Graz has long been an important pioneer within the EU for the implementation of the vision of pan-European integration. Against the background of long-standing, diverse and intensive cooperation with the regions of south-eastern Europe, the University of Graz was the first university in the German-speaking region to define a university-wide focus "Southeastern Europe" as the profile-forming core of its university development concept. As part of a wide range of partnerships, it takes account of these historically grown connections, which are important in many areas.

"Go Styria!" Is all about a "New Europe". The program "Go Styria!", Which was first offered in the academic year 2007/2008 to support students from Southeastern Europe, motivates the willingness to be mobile and is supported in this context by funding from the State of Styria.
