IMD is a top-ranked business school. We are the experts in developing global leaders through high-impact executive education. Every year, IMD supports about half of the MBA class by granting them scholarships or loans. The total amount of scholarships available each year is around CHF500'000 and CHF 1.3 million for loans.

IMD Scholarships
We aim to encourage high achievers from around the globe who don’t necessarily have the financial means to apply, but do have the potential, drive and passion that we are looking for. If you have the desire and ability to join the best group of 90, we want to help you.
IMD is committed to fostering the growth in diversity through our merit and need-based MBA scholarships. These include one full scholarship and four 80% scholarships. In our current class, 56% of our women participants were awarded a scholarship.
For all scholarship applications (except the merit and CO-RO scholarships) you will need to submit our MBA Financial Aid form with the following supporting documents: yearly proof of salary, tax return form, latest bank account statements.
List of Scholarships
MBA Class Scholarship for Emerging Markets
CHF 200'000 (to be split between the winners of the scholarship). For citizens of developing countries to enable young leaders who meet the following criteria to earn the IMD MBA degree.
Staton Scholarship (x 1) CHF 50,000
For applicants from South America (with the exception of Brazil), on condition that the candidate returns to South America for at least three years after graduation.
IMD MBA Future Leaders Scholarships (x 3) CHF 30,000
For applicants who demonstrate exceptional leadership understanding.
IMD MBA Alumni Scholarships (x 5) CHF 30,000
One scholarship is awarded to a citizen, but not necessarily current resident, of each region: Asia, Africa/Middle East, Latin America, Eastern Europe and Western Europe/North America/Oceania.
The deadline to apply for any scholarship is September 30.
Nestlé Scholarship for Women (x 1) CHF 25,000
Preference is given to women from developing countries.
Jim Ellert Scholarship (x 1) CHF 20,000
Preference is given to citizens from Africa, Central and Eastern Europe and the South-Eastern Asian Peninsula.
Stewart Hamilton Scholarship (x 1) CHF 20,000
For applicants who demonstrate an understanding of corporate governance and corporate responsibility.
IMD MBA Merit Scholarships (x 5) CHF 10,000
Awarded at the discretion of IMD's Admissions Committee at the time of offer to applicants who demonstrated exceptional qualities throughout the admissions process.
