The objective of the international Seminar on European Project Planning is to provide participants with the skills for successfully planning European projects in the field of Education, Culture, Research and Innovation.

TEACHING PROGRAMME

The Seminar has a duration of 30 hours of classroom based learning held in Florence (Italy). The classroom activities are organized in 6 days, Monday to Saturday, 5 hours each day.  

The programme of the international Seminar focuses on:

  • Analysis of European funding opportunities
  • Development of effective project ideas
  • Creation of transnational project partnership
  • Filling in of Application Forms for the submission of European Projects
  • Planning the financial aspects of the project

Optional 30 hours of e-learning to be held at distance are available for follow-up of the classroom course.

TEACHING STAFF

The teaching staff is composed by experts with 15 to 25 years of experience in European cooperation.

COORDINATOR

The Seminar is organized and coordinated by PIXEL, an international education and training institution involved, so far, in 108 projects funded by the European Commission.

Objectives

The objective of the International Seminar in European Project Planning is to provide participants with the skills to plan and write European project proposals.

The programme addresses topics such as:

  • Understanding of calls for proposal
  • Developing of effective project ideas
  • Creating of transnational project partnerships
  • Planning the project budget
  • Filling in of Application Forms

  • Quality issues and best practices
  • The project submission process
  • Award and selection criteria

Course Programme

The programme of the international Seminar on European Project Planning is organized in 6 main modules:

  • Module 1: Introduction to the European Union Policies
    Brief Analysis of European Union's policies in the fields of education, culture, research and innovation.
  • Module 2: European Funding Programmes
    Review of the funding opportunities managed by the European Commission in the fields of education, culture, research and innovation.
  • Module 3: Quality Project Planning
    Analysis of the planning process, from the idea to the project.
  • Module 4: Partnership Development
    Introduction to the strategies to create and manage transnational partnerships for European Projects
  • Module 5: Financial Planning
    Administrative and financial rules for the project budget creation
  • Module 6: Filling in the Application Form
    Practical simulation of the necessary steps to fill in the project application form

ONLINE AND ONSITE ATTENDANCE

The Seminar is offered either as a classroom-based or online-based programme. It is up to each participant to decide whether to enrol for the onsite or online course.

The classroom-based programme is held in Florence (Italy).
The online programme is organised, at the same time as the classroom programme, via a dedicated e-learning platform.

It is possible to attend the online programme, either synchronously or asynchronously. All lectures are recorded, and all teaching materials and documents are available online, so it is possible to access both lessons and materials anytime and asynchronously. Participants can also ask questions asynchronously by contacting the course trainers who respond the day after.

The European Project Planning international Seminar is addressed to individuals who wish to acquire the skills for successfully accessing and managing European funds in the field of education, culture, research and innovation.

The European Project Planning international Seminar aims at providing participants with the skills to enable them to:

  • Understand and make their way through the funding opportunities managed by the European Commission
  • Interpret correctly a European call for proposals
  • Develop effective project ideas for European projects
  • Collect all necessary documents for the European project preparation
  • Create an appropriate transnational project partnership.
  • Fill in the Application Form for the submission of a European Project
  • Plan Financial Aspects of the project application
  • Carry out the necessary procedures for the presentation of a project

Cost/funding for participants

Enrollment

The enrollment fee to attend the International Seminar in European Project Planning is 640 euro per person.

A 25% discount is applied to individuals enrolling in the asynchronous online course and to groups of at least 6 people enrolling in the onsite course (480 Euro per person).
