Mapillary - Computer vision / machine learning research intern

We are looking for a PhD student to join our Research team at Mapillary. You will be working on basic research projects in the field of object recognition and/or 3D modeling. Together with a team of motivated researchers, your goal is to develop and prototype proof-of-concept solutions for challenging machine vision problems, and we aim for publishing the results at high-impact conferences.

Maps rule the world. They inform and underpin some of the most crucial decisions that are made in society—but the world is moving so fast that maps everywhere get outdated quicker than any single player can update them. That’s where Mapillary comes in. We allow anyone, anywhere to update maps at scale, using nothing but cameras. We apply computer vision to street-level imagery to generate map data at scale, so that people and organizations everywhere can build better maps.

We ship early, in the open, and make multiple releases every day.

Description of Ideal Candidate:


Ideally, you already completed 2-3 years of your PhD studies and have experience in publishing your works in any of CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NIPS, ICML or PAMI, have been working on deep learning for object recognition, 3D reconstruction, graph-based learning or related fields.

The internship period is 3 months with the possibility to extend if needed.
