Merit360 conferences are large youth lead forums and the loudest call to action concerning the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). It is the best combination of collaborative projects, cultural exchange and fun activities. The program encompasses a two week conference that brings together amazing activists from all over the world. Delegates who are known as Action Plan Executors will meet and make lasting connections with peers from almost every sector, country and industry.
Merit360 is the world's most significant program for global citizens committed to tackle the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals. It is innovative and inspirational. End of August 2018, World Merit will gather 180 changemakers from all over the world in the UK for two weeks, to work on projects that will contribute in tackling the SDGs. These two weeks will focus on skill development, cross-culture teamwork and sustainable development projects. The program is meant to be life- and world changing for the participants and the planet. It concludes in the Palace of Westminster, the house of Parliaments in London, were all SDG group will pitch their project to an audience of inspirational leaders and mentors.
All participants will go to a special SDG focused process to assure the biggest personal-, professional development and social impact. There are 6 modules, 3 webinars, 2 mandatory online team meetings and 1 two-week offline conference in this program. It’s spread over 6 months, with an additional 4 months at the end for SDG teams to submit their final reports (10 months total). Each module is composed of individual prep work, including videos and readings that you should watch and read on your own, and team workshops. Each module will require a different amount of time for your individual and team work.

1 (Finalizing Your Participation)
Fill out your application, carry out your online interview and pay your deposit. It’s that easy! Get familiar with your panel and hold on for the ride of a lifetime.
2 (Module 1 + 2)
Get an Introduction to World Merit, the United Nations and the 17 SDGs, Build Professional Capacity and Management, as well as, be a part of our first Webinar on Leadership for Creating Impact.
3 (Module 3 + 4)
Move into the Human Cantered Design, Project Development and engage in our second Webinar Tools for Project Development.
4 (Module 5 + Team Meetings)
It’s now time to dive in the Human Cantered Design Ideation Process, build on our third Webinar on The Sustainable Development Goals and Making an Impact and meet your planning teams to discuss Team Dynamics and Choosing your Goal.
5 (Module 6 + Team Meetings)
You’ve brainstormed and planned. Now it’s time to communicate! This step is all about Marketing and Communication. Building social change through campaigns.
6 (Project Finalization + Merit360 Conference)
It’s all coming together now! Let’s meet! Join us at our two-week offline event from August 24th till September 8th. Get hands on guidance with various mentors. Get the chance to speak in-depth with high profile speakers. And enjoy the moment, we’re all in this together!
7 (Financial Sourcing)
We miss you already! Now that you are back home it’s time to carry through with planning and begin the wheels of implementation. This month focuses on getting support, whether that be in-kind or financially to implement your project or product design.
The name says it all, you are now implementing. You are on the ground making a difference!
You are now on your final leg of implementation. This is where you decide if you’ll carry on and register yourself as an organization, join partnerships or decide to do your own thing. Its all fine.
And it’s all come to an end. Our Action Plan was a success! Now it’s time to let the world know. Let’s report all the handwork you’ve done.
1. ACTION PLAN FACILITATOR (APF)
What is your role?
Facilitate an international team of +10 individuals, virtually and offline. You will lead, manage and coach your team so they are empowered, guided & nurtured. Your goal is to establish a strong team so they can achieve what they want to achieve.
As an Action Plan Facilitator, participating in this 10-month program, you are expected to commit +12 hours a week during the 3-month virtual process, fully participate in the 14 days offline program including 2 APF preparation days, and facilitate the 6-month pilot Action Plan implementation. Flexibility is important due to different time-zones and cross-cultural team-work.
We strive to be radically inclusive and wish everyone to join us who has a fair amount of facilitation experience with cross-cultural groups. Have a very pro-active, flexible and empathic mindset. Walk-the-talk in your passion for the SDGs.
2. ACTION PLAN EXECUTOR (APF)
What is your role?
Work in an international team, identifying a specific problem within your chosen SDG, applying the human-centred design to develop an innovative and viable solution which your team, in cooperation with the bigger World Merit community, will implement.
As an Action Plan Executor, participating in this 10-month program, you are expected to commit +8 hours a week during the 3-month virtual process, fully participate in the 12 days offline program and take ownership of the 6-month pilot Action Plan implementation. Flexibility is important due to different time-zones and cross-cultural team-work.

Cost/funding for participants:
The participation fee is £1200.00 which is inclusive of a £120.00 deposit and it includes: Full access to the Merit360 Online Panel, Food and Accommodation at the Merit360 Two Week Conference, Local Tours, an Action Plan Executor Certificate, a Delegates Package and Goody Bag, Visa Support, Technical Project Support, Online Program Modules, and a Team Facilitator and Mentor.
