When positive impact entrepreneurs like yours work together with investors, corporates, governments, nonprofits, and communities, amazing things can happen.
Designed to support all founders from idea to exit, Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub brings together the technology, guidance, and support you need to hit your next milestone. Sign up in minutes with no funding required.
Once your organization is approved for Founders Hub, you will receive a welcome email with an onboarding survey. In that survey, you will have the opportunity to indicate that your organization focuses on "social impact," as well as which of the United Nations SDGs your organization most closely aligns to.
The United Nations has identified 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for urgent collective action. While we welcome applicants from all 17 SDGs we have identified four as strategic priority areas: Quality Education (SDG 4); Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8); Climate Action (SDG 13); and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
Upon completion of the onboarding survey, your organization becomes a candidate for our Entrepreneurship for Positive Impact program. We will review your candidacy and let you know if you have been accepted.

What we look for in companies
In the Entrepreneurship for Positive Impact program, we work primarily with Social Entrepreneurs and Digital Natives with Positive Impact. Factors we consider when evaluating program best-fit includes:
- Strength of the technology solution and vision for impact
- Clearly defined methods for measuring social impact
- Support for traditionally underserved or under-resourced populations in the applicant's community of practice
- Engagement with and impact on local social impact issues
- Alignment to our 4 focus areas: Quality Education (SDG 4); Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8); Climate Action (SDG 13); and Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions (SDG 16).
