Overview
London GMO Business Control team owns and performs daily regulatory reporting and controls pertaining to the Commodities business line, as well as an oversight on the TRR performed by the centralized Head Office team on the London Branch generated business.
Details
This internship would have a specific mission focusing in improving the aforementioned framework in relation to data quality. The intern would be tasked with:
- Framing London generated business with relevant regulatory reporting obligations jurisdictions (locally managed and outsourced to head office)
- Identify regulatory reporting data sources for each reporting obligation within the TRR framework
- Identify Front Office or Back Office source systems where the transactions are recorded and source of the regulatory reporting performed
- Define a methodology to perform for each regulatory reporting a monthly sampling control on data quality – technical & economical by reconciling the 2 points previously mentioned
- Document such controls in a specific and comprehensive step by step document
- Organise recording the results of these controls for auditing purposes
- Build a visual dashboard outlining the results through KPI‘s
- Initiate the creation of the relevant permanent control to be performed monthly
- Participate to local and global Regulatory Reporting Governance streams with all stakeholders
- Procedure document with reference to data sources and steps to perform the control
