Overview

Saxion University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the Netherlands, with close to 27,000 students (and still growing!). Saxion University has a rich history – its roots can be traced back to the 1875. A merger of two educational institutions, the Hogeschool Enschede and Hogeschool Ijselland, in 1998 paved the way for Saxion University in its present form. This merger enabled Saxion to build further on its strong position in Dutch higher education and since then Saxion University has come to be recognised as an important centre of expertise at regional, national and international level.

Saxion University of Applied Sciences (UAS) offers the OTS to Bachelor candidates from Brazil, China, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Russia, Vietnam, South Africa, India, as a partial waiver.
Saxion offers each participating country 2 scholarships.

Selection procedure

  • Saxion offers each participating country 2 scholarships.

  • The NESO offices will send the nomination to Saxion;

  • Saxion will assess the nomination and send the final result to NESO offices;

  • The NESO offices wil issue the result.

Description of Ideal Candidate:

Eligibility

  • You must be a candidate with a nationality of the eligible country and you pay full institutional tuition fee;
  • You apply for a full-time Bachelor programme, Master Applied Nanotechnology or Master Innovative Textile Development as a new student;
  • You meet the specific requirements of the study programme of your choice;
  • You do not receive any other scholarship for the same study year and study programme;

Requirements

  • GPA 75% or higher based on the grade list you use to enrol at Saxion;
  • IELTS 6.5 or higher (or the equivalent of IELTS);
  • Check also the information about the OTS of the NESO office of your country.
