General Stream 

Our General Stream Graduate program welcomes individuals from diverse educational backgrounds, each bringing a unique set of skills and knowledge to our organisation. As a General stream Graduate, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in various business areas, including Operations, Network Planning, Sales, Strategy, Commercial, Revenue Management, and many more.   

Your responsibilities could range from developing our Climate Action Plan and spearheading sustainable initiatives for the future, to strategising and executing exciting new routes for our expanding network. This exposure will not only broaden your experience but also enable you to establish a robust professional network, paving the way for accelerated success as a future leader at Qantas.  

As a Qantas General Stream Graduate, you'll be empowered to bring fresh perspectives and challenge conventional norms. Human Resources Stream

Our Graduates hold all types of degrees and bring diverse skills and knowledge to our business. As a Graduate in the Human Resources Stream, you'll have the opportunity to learn how our Human Resources team partners with our business leaders to deliver on our People Strategy.  

You could be involved in anything from supporting our performance and talent evaluation processes, introducing new learning and training initiatives, helping managers and employees utilise Workday, or accompanying our HR Business Partners with all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This will give you the chance to broaden your experience, while building a strong professional network that will help you to fast track your success as a future leader at Qantas.  

As a Human Resources Graduate at Qantas you’ll be given the opportunity to bring brand new perspectives and challenge us to do things differently. Finance Graduate

As a Finance Graduate, you'll embark on a rewarding career journey within one of Australia's most captivating finance departments. With a degree in Accounting or Finance, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in various facets of finance, spanning our Central Finance Function and Commercial teams. You'll contribute to decision-making processes across our network, support commercial negotiations, and gain exposure to specialist areas such as Treasury and Tax.

Engineering Graduates

Qantas Group Engineering stands as a beacon in aviation, entrusted with the maintenance and care of both the Qantas fleet and aircraft for our valued customers. Our Graduates play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence and ensuring passenger safety, utilising cutting-edge equipment and resources. 

Our Engineering Graduates, equipped with degrees in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering, grasp our objectives and are poised to take the initiative in driving progress. As an Engineering Graduate, you'll dive into providing comprehensive engineering support services across our international, domestic, and regional fleet. You'll contribute to the introduction of new aircraft types and collaborate on exciting projects with internal stakeholders such as technical crews and airports.

As a Technology Graduate, you'll spearhead the design and implementation of ground-breaking solutions that not only fuel our growth but also deliver tangible value to our customers. Whether you're developing our latest app features, delving into cybersecurity, or testing innovative technologies onboard our aircraft, you'll be at the forefront of innovation.

Data and Analytics Graduates

Our Data and Analytics Graduates, equipped with STEM degrees and a passion for driving tangible business outcomes through data and analytics, play a vital role in our mission. At Qantas, we lead the charge in delivering superior customer outcomes through data analytics, leveraging it to personalise services and better meet customer needs.  

As a Data and Analytics Graduate, you'll be at the forefront of analytics, leveraging one of the richest datasets in Australia. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across a range of projects, tackling complex challenges through the development of technical solutions, predictive modelling, and data visualisation to communicate insights effectively.

What are the minimum requirements?

  • Must be in your final year of study or have completed an undergraduate degree or postgraduate study within the last 2 years;
  • Must be a permanent resident or Australian / NZ citizen as at the date of application;
  • Must hold a current distinction average or above;
  • Finance graduates must have completed a degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline;
  • Must be willing to relocate to Sydney for the Program;
  • Ideally have previous work experience ï‚· Ideally take part in extra-curricular activities and/or other leadership type roles.
