The Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship is our premier offering for high achievers. We award over 180 scholarships annually, worth $4.2 million. In addition to the financial support, the program helps you to make the most of your QUT experience through extra development opportunities, which build your leadership skills and professional networks.

Tier 1 - International medalist
To qualify for this tier you must be able to demonstrate one of the following:
- Olympic event medalist
- Olympic event
- Commonwealth event medalist
- Commonwealth event.
Tier 2 - Senior national team
To qualify for this tier you must be able to demonstrate one of the following:
- be a finalist in an individual sport at an international event
- finish in the top 6 in a team sport at an international event
- have been selected onto a national senior team/squad
- competed at at senior international event.
Tier 3 - Junior national team
To qualify for this tier you must be able to demonstrate one of the following:
- be a finalist in an individual sport at an international event
- finish in the top 6 in a team sport at an international event
- be selected onto a national junior team/squad
- competed at a junior international event.
Tier 4 - Talent identification
To qualify for this tier you must be able to demonstrate that:
- you are a current member of a team or individual in a national competition.

Eligibility
To be considered for a QUT Elite Sport Scholarships, you must:
- be an Australian citizen
- be a new or continuing QUT student
- be representing either an Australian State or National Sporting Organisation in a sport recognised within Olympic, Paralympic or Commonwealth Games
- provide confirmation of performance level equivalent to one of the following options:
- minimum of Talent 4 (T4) athlete categorisation level within Sport Australia’s FTEM framework
- minimum of a current ‘Emerging’ Athlete Categorisation with written verification from your National Sporting Organisation (NSO), State Institute or State Academy support network (SIS/SAS), or National Institute Network (NIN).

- QUT Elite Sport Scholarships are valued up to $10,000, paid over two years.
QUT Sport Scholarships include additional benefits, including:

- access to nutrition and sports psychology services and more.
If you receive a QUT Elite Sport Scholarship you will receive automatic entry into the QUT Elite Athlete Program.
