We are proud to offer scholarships to talented international students that apply for a bachelor’s or master’s programme at Saxion for the September intake.
Details
You can apply for our Holland Scholarship (HS) after you have applied at Saxion for your study programme, please note that the application link will be active from November 2023 on. The deadline for applying is the 1st of May 2024.
This scholarship is meant for excellent and very talented students from outside the European Economic Area (EU/EEA) who intend to follow their bachelor’s or master’s* degree in the Netherlands. The scholarship only applies to non-EU/EEA students who pay the full institutional tuition fee.
At Saxion the eligible master programmes are: Applied Nanotechnology, Innovative Textile Development and Robotics System Engineering.
There is a limited number Holland Scholarships available.

Saxion University of Applied Sciences is one of the largest institutions of higher education in the Netherlands, with close to 27,000 students (and still growing!).
Saxion University has a rich history – its roots can be traced back to the 1875. A merger of two educational institutions, the Hogeschool Enschede and Hogeschool Ijselland, in 1998 paved the way for Saxion University in its present form. This merger enabled Saxion to build further on its strong position in Dutch higher education and since then Saxion University has come to be recognised as an important centre of expertise at regional, national and international level.

Eligibility
- Your nationality is non-EU/EEA and you pay full institutional tuition fee;
- You apply for the first time for a full-time programme at Saxion (see qualifying programmes above)
- You meet the specific requirements of the study programme of your choice;
- You do not receive any other scholarship for the same study year and study programme
Requirements
- GPA 80% or higher based on the grade list you use to enrol at Saxion;
- IELTS 7.0 or higher (or the equivalent of IELTS)
