You will be joining the increasing number of over 5000 professional volunteers from over 25 countries who have helped thousands of children gain access to basic education, psychosocial and medical support etc since our inception in 2012.

Slum2School Africa is a volunteer driven social development organization operating in Africa whose vision is to transform the society by empowering disadvantaged children in Slums to realize their full potential through the provision of educational scholarships, health support and other psycho-social support.

With strong emphasis on volunteer service and new media, Slum2School Africa is currently one of the most vibrant youth driven non-profit organization operating in Nigeria and creating social impact around education, health and promoting patriotic citizenship.

Founded in 2012, Slum2School Africa has already won over 15 national and international awards for its innovation community development, leadership, youth drive and social impact. We have already attracted over 5000 Volunteers from 12 countries who have actively contributed physically and virtually to the vision of the organizational

Slum2School Africa has also provided educational scholarships and support to 650 disadvantaged children from various slums and remote communities like Emina, Saga Islands, Okuagbo and Makoko all in Lagos State, Nigeria.


  • COMMUNITY ADVOCACY - This involves a continuous reorientation campaigns, sensitization, seminars involving formation and training of Community based Volunteers, Care Givers forums, Child Ambassadors and several organized community based programs to emphasize the importance of education and other related issues. In 2012 we organized about 8 Education based Community Advocacy campaigns across 5 communities with over 1000 volunteers.
  •  SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS - After advocacy, profiling, verification and sorting, selected children who are vulnerable and from disadvantaged families are put on the scholarship list. Enrolled into schools and provided with all educational supply materials. They are also entitled to medical insurance and several other psychosocial supports. Since inception in 2012 we have supported three hundred and twenty (320) children from 3 to 15 years on scholarship in various schools, provided complete school kits, extracurricular classes and effective monitoring/ evaluation is ongoing out to ensure sustainability.
  •  COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAMS - This program focuses on community development and ownership of projects. It also serves as a platform for us to extend our support to rural communities. Our Community Service team made up of professional volunteers embark on regular visits to rural communities where they train and offer support services in health, legal, family planning, gender issues, entrepreneurial development; and distribute food, educational and other relief materials. Since inception in 2012 we have organized about 12 programs with about 22 organizations and visited slums in Bariga, Ajegunle, Epe, Otumara, Makoko, Ruga and Ggwagwalada reaching out to thousands of people.
  •  RURAL SCHOOL PROJECT: [ The ARK School ] - This initiative aims at setting up solar powered low cost schools in poor communities which lack a standard government or private school and to offer free and quality education to Orphans and Vulnerable Children (OVC) in the community who are willing to go to school but lack the financial support and access to school. This project will be in partnership with the government across various communities.
