What is the Circl Programme?
Circl gives 18-24 years-old individuals from under-represented backgrounds the chance to earn a qualification in leadership skills whilst learning, as equals, alongside managers from top businesses such as: Google, Facebook, Uber, Etsy, Mckinsey, British Land, Benevolent AI, Hello Fresh, eBay and Innocent.
What is the programme like?
You'll be matched 1 to 1 with a manager and together you'll learn the 'coach approach to leadership' and use your new skills to help each other set and achieve ambitious goals.
It is a qualification that runs over 3-5 months. You will have 6 2-hours group sessions where you learn the skills and then 6 1-hour 1-to-1 where you meet your professional match in between each session to coach and be coached by them. It's only a small time commitment that can fit around your studies/ work.
Deadline to apply: Saturday 14 October 2023.
If your application is selected you will be invited to book an interview online with a Circl team member to let you know more about the programme & answer any questions you may have. We expect all applicants to be fully committed once allocated to allow for the best experience, so please be prepared to answer questions about your commitment to the programme.

Description of Ideal Candidate
Am I eligible to apply?
They specifically want to support young people whose background would traditionally be a limiting factor in them becoming a leader. This means that they primarily look for young change makers with a household income below average or are/were on free school meals (or the equivalent in your country). They also take other factors into consideration including first-gen to go to university, single parent family, disability, ethnic minority, etc. Please ensure you meet the primary criteria to be eligible for this programme.
You are eligible if you are:
- You are aged between 18-24
- As the programme is in English - you need to be fluent in English to get the qualification
- You are from a low-income household. For example, if when you were growing up, your family received support from the government or you are eligible for Minimum Living Income, or generally would not be able to afford the cost of this qualification (£1,800).
