Overview

Tried-and-true data science curriculum tailored to assure students graduate as well-rounded data scientists. Use real-world tools, and learn from some of the country’s top instructors.

Do you have what it takes to become a leading data scientist?

Details

Our Data Science Fellowship isn’t your ordinary data bootcamp, it’s immersive. Work with live code, real data sets, and our experienced instructors to master the skills you need to succeed in the business world. That’s why we’re one of the leading data training and placement organizations in the world.

Your Future Awaits

Learn from Industry Experts in Data Science

  • Our data science instructors work side-by-side with you to help you build the skill set you need to succeed.
  • Our instructors come from MIT, Harvard and other esteemed educational institutions. In addition to their exemplary education, they’ve also worked at world-class organizations.

Graduate with a Capstone Portfolio

  • The capstone project is a chance for you to drive a project from conception through delivery. This portfolio of work will demonstrate your abilities to apply the skills learned in the lectures and mini-projects.
  • Each capstone project includes a clear business objective, real-world data sets, visualizations, machine learning, distributed computing or an interactive website, plus a tangible deliverable. Use real-world data to solve real-world problems.

Get Career Support Until You're Hired

  • Work with a career coach to craft the perfect resume and hone your interview skills so you can shine in front of potential employers.
  • Get the chance to meet and mingle with our hiring partners at our mixer events, held during each cohort.
  • Build a network of fellow data scientists and broaden your connections so you can find the right role for you. Nearly 80% of jobs are found through your network, according to LinkedIn, and we’ll help you expand your world.

The Data Science Program

The time you spend in The Data Incubator’s Data Science Program is going to be tough. It’s going to be rigorous. It’s going to be amazing.

At TDI we don’t do theory, so each section of the program includes several projects that showcase the world-class data skills you’ve learned here. Plus, you’ll work with real-world data for each project to solve real business problems.

On top of great skills training, you’ll work on your capstone portfolio. Choose the public data set that sparks your interest and build a functioning tool to show off your talents to future employers.

Full-Time Program

Our immersive, hands-on data science program for those with a passion for data looking to take the business world by storm.

You’ll work on projects that showcase your world-class data science skills using real-world data to solve real-world business problems. Use a public data set to build a functional capstone project that shows off the skills you’ve mastered to potential employers.

  • Runs for 8 weeks
  • Takes place Monday-Friday, from 9:00 AM ET to 5:00 PM ET or PT, with office hours held each week
  • Expect to spend 40 hours per week on the program
  • Includes TDI data scientist certification

To help you find your first—or next—job in business as a data
scientist, we include a robust career services program.

We are proud to offer a small number of full-tuition scholarships for the Data Science program. These tuition-free spots are only available for the full-time program. All applicants will be considered for the scholarship and we will select individuals we believe to be the most highly qualified.

Part-Time Program

Work or other commitments make it difficult to attend our full-time bootcamp? Then check out our new part-time program!

Please note that full tuition scholarships are not offered for our part-time program. We encourage you to apply to our full-time program if you are interested in potentially being considered for one of our scholarship spots.

  • Runs for 20 weeks
  • Takes place in the evenings twice a week from 7:00 PM ET to 9:30 PM ET, with office hours held each week
  • Allows you to work full-time while advancing your data science career
  • Includes TDI data scientist certification

You’ll get the same great training, instructors, and career boost as our full-time program, but with even more flexibility.

Financing is available through Ascent or other lenders of your choice.

We also offer income sharing, where you only pay your deposit until you start your career and are earning over a certain threshold. Income sharing is an agreement between you, TDI and our partner Leif.

The Application

We’ll ask you all the usual questions about your education and work experience, your preferences for part-time or full-time, and other details that help us determine if you meet the basic qualifications for the program. You must have at least one of the following:

  • A Master’s degree completed before the program begins
  • A PhD degree completed before the program begins
  • A PhD degree that will be completed within 3 months of the conclusion of the program
  • A Bachelor’s degree and extensive experience in a data-related position

We highly encourage you to apply by the early decision date. We view applications on a first come, first served basis, and the sooner you get yours in, the better chance you have of moving forward. Once you’ve completed your application – and you have to finish the general application on time to move forward – you’ll move to the coding challenge.

The Coding Challenge

This coding challenge is designed for you to show off your current abilities. You’ll get 72 hours to complete the challenge once you start, so make sure you’re prepared to give it your all. The challenge will close for all applicants after the application closes regardless of the time you have left.

Keep in mind: You don’t have to finish all of the challenges, but you do need to do as much as you can. We look at the quality of your work as well as the quantity. And make sure you save as you go. You can come back and continue your work during those 72 hours, but the last time you save is the version we’ll look at.

We’ll also ask you to propose your capstone project. But don’t worry – you have time before the interview to solidify your capstone idea. Just give us an overview of what you’d like to do, and why.

The Interview

After the coding challenge, we’ll contact the most promising candidates to set up a time for an online interview with our instructors and staff.

Those who show the most promise during the entire application process are awarded one of our limited tuition-free spots, so put your best foot forward. Tell us about the capstone project you have in mind, and why you think you’re the right candidate for the program.
