At the Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA), we celebrate outstanding photography from around the globe. Our mission is to recognize, honor, and connect talented photographers with new audiences and creative communities in Tokyo, Japan. The competition is open to photographers of all levels and nationalities—we welcome your unique vision and invite you to share your work with the world.

About the Prize
Winners of the Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA) gain significant international recognition and exposure. Unlike many other photography competitions, all the benefits of winning TIFA are included in your entry fee—there are no hidden costs. We offer extensive media coverage through our network of magazine and newspaper partners, who actively promote and distribute the winning work to a global audience.
TIFA is managed by International Awards Inc.
Submission Guidelines
Digital submissions must be saved as jpg, and minimum 1000 pixels in either height or width. Please remember also to keep your files in RGB format, no greater than 4MB per image.
You may enter the same photograph into as many categories as you see fit. You can also submit as many entries in as many categories as you like. All photographs should be no older than 5 years.

Description of Ideal Candidate
- The TIFA competition is open to anyone aged 18+ residing anywhere in the world. Professional entries will be judged against other professionals; emerging and student entries against other students / emerging.
- We define Professional as those who earn the majority of their income from photography.
Emerging and student photographers are also invited to submit their work. TIFA is open to photographers from all over the world.
