Our organization's mandate is to promote and accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrial development in developing countries and economies in transition as we work towards improving living conditions in the world's poorest countries by drawing on our combined global resources and expertise. We operate a network of field offices that coordinate the delivery of technical assistance programs and liaise with governments and key partners including the UN country teams and private sector.

If you are interested in doing an internship at a UNIDO Field Office, please send an email to the corresponding Field Office with your CV, indicating your area of interest (i.e. agribusiness, communications, etc.). You will then receive a response should there be interest and eventually, a vacancy announcement will be created on this page through which you could apply. Please fully complete the online Personal History Form (PHF) and indicate in which Field Office you are interested in. Eligibility Criteria

  1. Age: between 21 and 35 years old. 
  2. Education: either enrolled in a university degree programme or; begin the internship within a year of completing a Master's degree or; have a Bachelor's degree and be sponsored as part of an academic or development programme. Applications without the uploaded relevant and valid university certificates (proof of enrollment and/or university degree) and at least one Reference/Recommendation Letter will not be considered.
  3. Languages: good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of other official United Nations languages (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese and Russian) is an asset.
  4. Nationality: nationals of UNIDO Member States have priority.
