Details
As an AI & Data Science intern, you will have a number of unique software startup challenges: processing large data sets, working in a small dynamic team comprised of industry experts only, tight deadlines and projects that require out-of-the-box thinking.
We are looking for motivated students (B.Sc, M.Sc.) with a hands-on mentality. You will be provided with a chance to work alongside industry experts in the field of condition and predictive maintenance and assist them in research and development. However, you are also encouraged to contribute with your own ideas and potential projects that, if viable, would be supported by our team.
Even though the exact daily activities can differ, here is a rough overview of the internship:
- Developing state-of-the-art analytics and data science solutions to solve/optimise technical problems in operations and engineering areas;
- Utilising big data analytics tools and applying analytical techniques for data retrieval, preparation, and discovery;
- Helping deploy predictive maintenance models.

Since the rise of IoT and improvements in computer technology, we increasingly focused more on the optimisation of assets. We created a new APM (Asset Performance Management) platform that allows assets to self-diagnose based on the available data and schedule maintenance interventions. UReason’s APM software optimises production and maintenance budgets by avoiding the breakdown and functional degradation of these assets.

For this position, we are handling the following criteria/guidelines:
- Must be a final-year Bachelor student or a graduate student pursuing Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field;
- Ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Strong foundation in Statistics, Probability, and Mathematics.
