Overall Purpose of The Job
The Global Graduate Development Programme (GGDP) is V.'s industry-leading, fully international, two-year development journey designed for bright, ambitious and self-driven graduates who want to build a global career in maritime services.
Across four six-month rotations, you will take on high-impact assignments across operational, commercial and functional areas of our business, while living and working in multiple worldwide locations. This programme offers unparalleled exposure to the shipping industry, hands-on learning with global teams, and opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects from day one.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
During the programme, you will:
- Complete international rotations in locations such as the UK, Poland, Greece, Cyprus, Monaco, UAE, Singapore and the Philippines.
- Gain exposure across V.'s full breadth of operations and services, including ship management, crewing and corporate functions.
- Build strong personal and leadership capabilities through tailored development opportunities and hands-on experience.
- Spend time on site (vessels, dry docks, shipyards and more) gaining first-hand insights into our technical and crew operations.
- Receive structured support to explore your long-term career path and define where you can make the greatest impact within V.

Essential
- A strong academic background with a Bachelor’s degree (minimum 2:1) or higher in a discipline relevant to the maritime services sector or to the broader corporate functions that support a global organisation.
- A maximum of two years’ professional experience, as this programme is designed for early-career talent.
- We welcome graduates from both technical disciplines, such as Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Supply Chain etc.. as well as versatile degree areas suited to global corporate roles, including Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, and other related fields providing strong analytical, commercial or organizational foundations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Curiosity, resilience and a genuine desire to learn, embrace new challenges, work across cultures and relocate globally.
