Cost/funding for participants

Corporate Sponsors provide not only financial support in order for our students to study at no cost, they also offer internship opportunities to our students, and we work together to ensure that what our students learn is relevant to industry.

There is cost-effective accommodation that has specifically been developed for WeThinkCode_ students and is walking distance from our Joburg campus. We are also working to arrange a cost-effective accommodation solution for WeThinkCode_ Cape Town students.

Student Support

  • Monthly Stipend: At WeThinkCode_ we understand that the cost of transport and other daily expenses can be a major barrier to students’ being able to access higher education opportunities. We offer a needs based stipend by application only, to ensure our students have the means to access our campuses and the learning resources they need during their two year training.
  • Student Wellness: We offer student support through expert hosted discussions and workshops. This is to ensure our students are better equipped with the tools needed to manage the social and emotional stressors that may interfere with their ability to succeed during our two year program.
  • Mentorship: We run a  peer-to-peer technical mentorship program, where second-year students are hired to mentor groups of first years. The mentorship program is designed to provide technical support and drive non-technical outcomes such as facilitating updates, task management and reviewing presentations.
  • WeThinkCode_ Community: As a student of WeThinkCode_ you’ll be invited to engage with various student and alumni clubs; knowledge sharing sessions with alumni and industry professionals,  and the chance to apply for student jobs that contribute to the greater WeThinkCode_ goals and strategies.
