Youth Start-Up Challenge (by European Commission)

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: 18 to 25 years old (inclusive)
• Residency: Resident in any EU Member State or associate country to the SME pillar of the Single Market Programme

Submission Requirements

• Theme: Start-up ideas that promote innovation and reflect EU values
• Format:
  • Submit a short video (max. 2 minutes) structured as follows:
  • Provide a short business plan of no more than 3 pages outlining your concept and approach
• Language: Both the video and business plan must be submitted in English
• Deadline: 20 September 2026
• All applications should be submitted under a single applicant's name. If more than one person has worked on the idea, only one will be invited to represent the team at the SME & Clusters Assembly. 

Selection Criteria

• Creativity: Is the idea new and inventive?
• Originality: Does it have the potential to capture public attention and address real-world issues?
• Communication: Is the idea presented clearly and persuasively?
