This interactive course bridges the gap between theory and practice, equipping activists, peace workers, higher education professionals, and researchers with innovative pedagogical and training approaches to translate theories, concepts, and ideas into practical methods and tools. Focusing on peace studies, intersectional gender, and culture, it guides the course participants in creating and testing transformative educational experiences that address complex social dynamics.
By combining creative techniques, experiential learning, and participatory methodologies, the course bridges theory and practice and fosters inclusivity, cultural sensitivity, and gender equity. It offers hands-on training by inviting participants to test and develop methodologies and tools presented. The course faculty supports participants to bring academic and conceptual insights into real-world applications, particularly in peacebuilding and cultural contexts.
As a participant, you will:
- Integrate intersectional analysis into training and facilitation practices.
- Develop creative, context-sensitive approaches to engage diverse groups.
- Translate abstract ideas into practical tools for peace, gender, and cultural work.
- Build facilitation skills for managing complex group dynamics and fostering collaboration.
- Explore innovative methodologies, including art-based practices, simulations, and narrative-driven approaches, to inspire and engage learners.
