Scholarships in Belgium

Bruegel’s Visiting Fellows Programme is intended to encourage recognized research scholars, policymakers and practitioners to stay temporarily at Bruegel to conduct research work, to interact with its scholars and to bring insights to its members and audience.

International master programmes (ICPs) are accredited (advanced or initial) master programmes (EQF 7) consisting of 2 or 4 semesters (60 or 120 ECTS respectively) on a subject that is relevant to or specific for development. We support a selection of 15 ICPs and provide 12 scholarships per ICP programme.

With support from its “Special Research Fund” (BOF), Ghent University grants PhD scholarships to promising PhD students from developing countries who wish to carry out half of their PhD research at Ghent University and half in a university in a developing country.

The Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE) offers scholarships to French students admitted to the College of Europe and, in certain cases, to nationals of a country of the European Union, to follow a master's level training in European studies.
