Internship Visa in France

France is a popular destination for trainings and internships. If you wish to take your internship in France and you are an EU or EEA Citizen, a citizen of Monaco, Andorra, or Switzerland, you do not need to secure a visa. However, if you are a third-country national and you are staying for 90 days at most, you may need to secure a French Short-Stay Visa, but if your internship will last for more than 90 days in the country, you may need to apply for a French Long-Stay Visa. The following documents may be required of you when getting this type of visa:

  • Fully accomplished online Application Form in your registered account on this website.
  • (2) Two pieces of identical photographs that are no older than three months and taken with consideration to the ICAO Standards.
  • Passport that contains at least two blank pages and is not more than 10 years old. Validity of the passport should be 6 months after the date of exit from France or Schengen territory.
  • Bring copies of your previous visa are available.
  • Marriage Certificate if applicable
  • Evidence of qualification such as degree certificates, mark sheets, or any diploma
  • Health Insurance confirmation from your provider assuring your coverage of at least EUR30,000 throughout the Schengen territory
  • Proof of payment for the visa application fee
  • Any documents that may support your application such as, but not limited to, a letter of invitation from the organization you will be rendering an internship in.
