INNOVATE4CLIMATE (I4C), hosted by the World Bank Group, is an annual global conference on climate finance, climate investment and climate markets. Launched in 2017, I4C brings together thought leaders interested in linking climate innovation with investment opportunities – transforming dialogue into action.

Overview
- Plenaries - Reflects the most pressing and current topics and allows thought leaders to present the latest innovative solutions. Expect dynamic conversations with high-level speakers representing various sectors and industries with the purpose to inspire, motivate, encourage the audience to take bolder climate action.
- Workshops - The Workshop Program is at the heart of I4C's knowledge exchange and provides an opportunity to organizations to present their ideas, solutions, and initiatives.
- Ignite - Influential leaders share their thoughts on the climate action landscape in a presentation and ignite innovative thinking.
- Marketplace - An opportunity for you to showcase your climate action initiatives. The public and the private sector exhibit different initiatives and display their climate-smart solutions in different sectors in this space at the conference. It is a unique opportunity for business development, knowledge sharing, and networking.
- Young Climate Innovators - Through a full-day program, I4C will empower 100+ young climate leaders from around the world who are committed to careers in climate action.
- Journalists workshop - Journalists from around the world gather for a media fellowship aimed to train on climate reporting and producing their own stories from an I4C experience.
- Networking - Where deal-making and the catalyzation of climate actions happen. Take advantage of the I4C platform and engage with meaningful stakeholders from I4C at different events throughout the week.
Over the course of the event, there will be sessions discussing climate finance, carbon markets and just transition from a range of speakers from the public and private sector. This content will be structured into daily plenaries and a series of workshops with a Marketplace area that facilitates exploration, discovery and networking.

Young Climate Innovators 2024
Young people play a key role in accelerating climate action.The Young Climate Innovators program is back! This year, YCI program will take place in Berlin, Germany on September 11.
Unlocking the power of youth in accelerating climate change action.
Young people play a key role in accelerating climate action and driving change. They are agents of change, climate advocates, activists, entrepreneurs, and, most of all, innovators. Whether through technology, science, or education, youth apply their skills, passion, and unique experience to scale the efforts in advancing and implementing climate change solutions.
Young Climate Innovators (YCI) at Innovate4Climate
YCI is a platform for young professionals and students aged 18-35, organized by Innovate4Climate (I4C) in collaboration with the Connect4Climate Global Partnerships Program of the World Bank Group, and the Global Youth Climate Network, a volunteer initiative of the World Bank Group Youth-to-Youth Community, to learn and exchange ideas on their role in scaling-up climate action and climate-resilient recovery through intergenerational dialogue and peer-to-peer engagements focused on the themes of I4C.
For the 2024 edition of YCI, I4C will seek to engage 50+ young professionals, and graduate-level students from around the world committed to careers in climate action, policy, and international development. The YCI event takes place on September 11th in Berlin, Germany.
Participants will have the opportunity to:
- Network: Attending the YCI event will allow you to network with global climate leaders, World Bank experts, and private sector specialists from all over the world throughout the I4C programs.
- Share: Do you have an innovative idea, solution, or a new business proposal? At I4C we give you opportunities to present a pitch.
