The topic of the 2026 ISF is “Personal identity and human dignity education: solutions to global challenges.” In addition to expert lectures and panel discussions, the ISF will feature UN-style negotiations by region to draft a joint outcome Declaration. WYA will offer advocacy training, as well as discussions with experts to enable participants to understand the issue and discuss policy solutions.

ABOUT THE TOPIC
Education that is rooted in personal identity and human dignity begins with recognizing that each person is unique and unrepeatable, with a value that does not depend on achievements or abilities. Personal identity means understanding who we are, reflecting on the purpose of our lives, and the qualities that shape our character. Yet in many places, this formation is neglected, leaving young people unsure of their worth and purpose.
The Human Dignity Curriculum (HDC) offers a clear and practical approach to forming young people who can face global challenges with knowledge, skills, a personal identity based approach, and confidence in their worth. It helps children see themselves as subjects, not objects, and encourages them to act freely and responsibly while striving for what is truly good. This ISF will explore how education rooted in personal identity and human dignity can be a foundational solution to contemporary challenges – from changes on the personal level, to deep reflections about social problems of our time. Participants will in particular reflect on how the HDC frames education as formation, teaching students not merely to know, but to become persons who truly value the dignity they inherently possess. We will discuss how a dignity-based curriculum can equip young learners globally to choose the good, act with intentionality, and live in solidarity.
The International Solidarity Forum is open to all members. However, admission preference will be given to individuals who have completed the Certified Training Program (CTP) and/or the Advocacy Academy.
