RESPONSIBILITIES
The course is an opportunity to:
- Learn about the process development in a hands-on workshop
- Share your experience and ideas about a real BASF process which you develop, plan, and optimize together with your team and BASF experts
- Have discussions and exchange with employees and managers of the research division, the engineering division, as well as other BASF divisions
- Join a guided tour and get to know the world’s largest integrated chemical complex owned by a single company
- Visit a production plant and gain insights into the BASF Verbund concept
- Find out first-hand what entry and training opportunities BASF offers you
- Enlarge your network, get to know people and enjoy 3 exciting days in Ludwigshafen
BENEFITS
In our Engineering Academy, PhD students are invited to visit the company to gain authentic insight into work life at BASF and to start networking with participants and BASF colleagues. You will experience the diversity in engineering at BASF and will get to know our engineers along with several experts in the field and managers while a small team of young engineers will guide you through the three days of the academy. During a plant visit and a guided site tour, you will learn more about the Verbund Site concept and get a feel for BASF's main headquarters.
Please note that the Engineering Academy will be held in English.

- Mid-to-late phase PhD candidates
- Current doctoral thesis in one of the following areas: chemical engineering or process development
