SDGs Design International Awards 2025
The SDGs Design International Awards has been held annually since 2019, with young designers from around 15 countries participating and over 200 works submitted each year. We are embracing and honoring your worthwhile causes and resourcefulness. Make your ideas known and heard, wide and far. It would certainly make a difference, resonating peacefully yet strongly with all around us. We would appreciate your interest and participation.
THEME: Living Together in an Era of Conflict “Societal Design Transcending Boundaries”
- Theme 1: Design for Peace
- Sustainable peacemaking-models across nations (addressing nuclear threat, territorial disputes, resource disputes and racial conflicts)
- Building youth-driven global peace networks based on SDGs
- Theme 2. Designing with Marginalized Voices
- Paying attention to those who are physically challenged, seniors and multicultural families
- Theme 3. Living between Virtual and Real Worlds
- Discoveing new connectivity in an era of social media, metaverse, generative AI and overcoming isolation

Eligibility: Students currently enrolled in universities, graduate schools, vocational institutions or high schools worldwide who are interested in design (including working students).
Students from non-design disciplines are also encouraged to apply.

- Gold Award (1 team): 300,000 yen+Certificate
- Silver Award (1 team): 200,000 yen+Certificate
- Bronze Award (1 team): 100,000 yen+Certificate

- Special Award for High School Students: Certificate
