CODING BOOTCAMP PRAHA SYLLABUS

We equip our students with skills that they really need - from design and coding basics to creating full-stack web applications. You learn how to creatively solve real-world problems, discover best practices and create a complete portfolio, which you can present to your future employers. The bootcamp enables you to dive into the web development in three phases - The Coder, The Programmer, and The Developer.

The learning curve of the Coding Bootcamp Praha is steep, beginners are expected to finish a minimum of 60-hour Pre-bootcamp Work to smooth your transition into the software engineering mindset.

Our teaching method is 'learning by doing', during the bootcamp you create 7 projects - 1 individual portfolio web, 4 team projects during our hackathons and 1 team Final Project.

• GET READY FOR THE BOOTCAMP. Start studying the basic concepts already at home. You practice HTML, CSS, and learn the basics of JavaScript and php in step by step exercises. Learn about the Command Line / Terminal and how to use your computer efficiently. The goal is to understand the linkages between HTML, CSS, JavaScript and php.
• THE FOUNDATION STONES. Git and Frontend. We teach you the coding basics, HTML5 and CSS3 become your second mother tongue. You start using Git for team collaboration. We teach you how to create the frontend of a webpage and you learn about web design.
• PROGRAMMING MINDSET. The first programming language you learn is JavaScript. We learn how to program in JavaScript and basics of React and create a number of useful features for your projects. We will discuss the latest trends, frameworks and libraries. We get to know the tools that simplify and speed up today's web development. You build a JavaScript game.
• PHP AND DATABASES. Programming applications on the server side. We learn PHP and continue learning React. Writing code becomes faster, more efficient, and new incredible options open up. We learn how to easily work with large amounts of data.
• LARAVEL. Learn one of the most popular backend frameworks worldwide. Laravel enables you to build a robust application. At this point you start working on the set up of your Final Project. Understand how to work in an Agile team.
• REACT.  Get to know the most popular JavaScript library for building user interfaces. Dive deeper into React and API and build a functioning React app during a hackathon. We also teach you how to optimise your website for search engines.
• DEVELOP A FULL-STACK TEAM PROJECT. Connect and advance all your knowledge. Together we brainstorm, design and create a fully functioning web project. You go through the full development cycle and create functioning product. The intense team collaboration helps you test and advance all your Git skills. Present your project at the Demo Day and you are ready for your new job.
