In recent years, the cinema, video games, digital arts and music industries have experienced profound changes linked to the development of technologies, and in particular the rapid development of artificial intelligence. As a result, the various creative actors in these fields must constantly adapt to the development of increasingly complex tools, offering ever more sophisticated creative possibilities.

Details

The general objective of the EMJM Digital Creativity Art & Science European Master program is to qualify students at a level of excellence in the fields of new audio-visual media, new technologies in the film industry, music, graphics, artificial intelligence, virtual reality and their applications in a broad context. Students will acquire new skills and competencies that will drive their innovation in the face of rapid changes in the film and new media markets.

Full mobility of students: Each student will learn on three campuses: the Jean Monnet University in St. Etienne (first semester, France), the Catholic University of Portugal - Schools of Arts in Porto (second semester, Portugal), and the University of Silesia in Katowice and Cieszyn (third semester, Poland). The location of the final semester of study is chosen by the student.

THE ACADEMIC FIELDS COVERED BY THE JOINT PROGRAMME

The objective, for students following this training, is to become the next generation of creators in these artistic fields, who will have multidisciplinary skills in image, sound, music, video, cinema, computer science, sound and image processing and digital synthesis, specializing in several of these areas and with a good general knowledge of other areas. They must be able to work collaboratively with professionals from other fields and adapt quickly to developments in digital technologies.

THE DIGICREA CONSORTIUM

The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master is implemented by a consortium of 3 higher education institutions from 3 different countries.

It is based on a joint curriculum, common administrative and financial management procedures, and a common service offer to all students.

As far as DIGICREA is concerned, the study program involves a compulsory period of mobility in at least two countries of the Consortium, at least one of which must be a program country and different from the student's country of residence.

Mobility cannot be replaced by "distance learning", otherwise the grant for mobility will be withdrawn.

DIGICREA brings together a consortium of 3 partner universities to provide pedagogical training. These 3 European higher education institutions are full partners of this training: the Jean Monnet University of Saint-Etienne (in Saint-Etienne, France), the Universidade Catolica Portuguesa of Porto (in Porto, Portugal), and the University of Silesia - Katowice (in Katowice, Poland).

All 3 partner universities are members of the Transform4Europe Alliance, in which 11 European universities have joined forces to educate people responsible for their environments, equipped with the state-of-the-art knowledge, which enables them to face the most important civilisation challenges.
