Overview

The purpose of the role is to work on all stages of the firm’s local and global marketing campaigns and projects. Versatile and comfortable in a demanding international environment, the contribution will help develop, expand and maintain DLA Piper’s visibility, mission and values. This internship presents an outstanding opportunity to acquire a diverse set of marketing skills and knowledge. To gain practical experience in marketing, communications, and business development, which will equip for success in any fast-paced work environment.

Details

Main duties and responsibilities

Communications

  • Assisting in preparing communication materials such as social media posts, articles, press releases, slide decks, newsletters,…
  • Coordinating the maintenance of the intranet and internet local pages
  • Monitoring press presence, web analytics, and social media statistics
  • Collaborating with both external and internal service providers to ensure smooth and efficient execution of various promotional activities and communication initiatives

Events and training

  • Assisting in organizing and managing a variety of external and internal events, including virtual, hybrid, and in-person events of all scales
  • Providing training and induction to new team members on social media, marketing tools and BD initiatives
  • Managing memberships and event calendars
  • Managing and monitoring networking event registrations to ensure participation and attendance

Administrative

  • Maintaining and updating track record information and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Organizing photo shooting sessions and efficiently coordinating the entire photo process
  • Creating and updating CVs and biographies for team members
  • Assisting the team with any other necessary duties and administrative tasks as required

The Department

The Marketing & Business Development Department in Luxembourg is responsible to provide a central services hub for the Luxembourg Office. The team consist of a senior member, a mid-level member and an intern. The key functions of the Marketing & Business Development Department include 

  • operating and developing the infrastructure including website, global credentials database, CRM, inhouse design capability and new digital asset management system.
  • enabling pitching and tailoring to client's commercial objectives.
  • reviewing brochureware.
  • embedding FOCUS methodology.
  • engaging alumni through Locations, Practice groups, Sectors and Value Added Services.

About you

  • Current enrolment in a master's degree in marketing, Communication or related field
  • Ability to learn fast and strong professional drive
  • Passion for marketing and communications
  • Team-player, well-organised and reliable
  • Fluent in French and good command of English
  • Computer literate, familiar with marketing applications and social networks (mainly LinkedIn)
