The central theme of this year's conference is culture, creativity, and croeso (Welsh for welcome). Nestled between an ancient, coastal landscape, and valleys forged by industrial revolution, Swansea offers a stunning natural and cultural backdrop for shaping the future of Mobile HCI. We invite you to draw inspiration from the dramatic coastline of the Gower Peninsula, the UK’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; to walk in the footsteps of literary giant Dylan Thomas, who found endless creativity in his hometown; and to connect with a cultural and industrial heritage of innovation that now finds its modern expression at our host venue, the Computational Foundry. Cost/funding for participants
MobileHCI 2026 is an in-person conference, and as such, our registration fees reflect running an in-person event. However, we recognize that it may not be possible for everyone who wishes to attend to do so in-person, thus we also offer a virtual/online attendance-only option.
Authors with papers accepted must register no later than the early registration deadline (date TBC). At least one author of each accepted paper, poster, DC, or demo must be registered to attend the conference in person. Any submission without a corresponding registration may be withheld from publication. We will support remote presentations only in an emergency (e.g., visa being denied). Please ensure you register at the correct rate—if you do not, you will be liable to pay the difference on arrival. You can revise your registration online up to one week before the conference.
