Overview
Phenix Capital is an Amsterdam-based investment consultant that catalyses institutional capital toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We support institutional investors to make impact investments through our Global Impact Platform, institutional impact events, and placement services.
To support our vision and growth path, Phenix Capital is offering a 6 month-internship to a highly motivated individual to start in 2022.
Details
Responsibilities
- Help us maintain our proprietary impact investing fund database of private equity, venture capital, real assets, public equity, and fixed income impact funds by monitoring the existing funds and adding new features, e.g. performance data
- Find new impact funds and support the due diligence processes by contacting and requesting information from fund managers worldwide
- Support calls and meetings with clients
- Performing regular analysis of impact fund market
- Support production of impact investing reports

- Accessing the impact fund universe across asset classes with our Impact Database
- Facilitate knowledge sharing, peer-collaboration and access to deal flow at our highly-curated Impact Events and Webinars
- Perform impact due diligence and assessing the impact proposition of funds with our Impact Fund Assessments and Investment Consultancy.
- Get introduced to fund managers meeting institutional criteria and matching impact themes through our Placement Services.
We support fund managers communicating the impact of their investments towards institutional asset owners:
- Free of charge profiling on the Impact Database of impact funds meeting institutional quality
- Improve and apply best practices within your fund impact proposition with Impact Fund Assessment report
- Access the largest community of institutional impact investors at our highly-curated Impact Events and Webinars
- Get introduced to institutional investors with an active impact mandate and matching impact themes through our Fundraising Advice and Introductions.

Requirements
- Excellent analytical and writing skills in English (Dutch or additional languages are a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge in Microsoft Power BI is a plus
- Strong academic achievement in bachelor’s degree program
- Knowledge of and familiarity with financial/investment products and asset classes - CFA/or CAIA candidate a plus
- Based in Amsterdam
- Available for 6 months to work full-time
- Strong interest in learning about impact investing and asset management
- Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to take the initiative in moving projects forward
- Hands-on, independent, problem solver, out of the box thinking
- Extremely service-oriented, strong team player, and communicator
- Commitment to serving society’s needs - ethical behavior and a high level of personal integrity

Our offer
- The office is located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands
- 35 to 40 working hours per week
- 750 EUR remuneration per month on full time basis
- Candidates will be considered for a full-time offer on completion of the internship
