Overview
Details
This summer school presents a unique opportunity to gain knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of nanophotonics. The intersection of nanotechnology and photonics is at the forefront of scientific and technological advancements, with immense potential for revolutionizing various industries.
Summer School instructors through hands-on experiments will enable participants to apply their knowledge and acquire practical skills. The program will foster a dynamic learning environment where students can ask questions, engage in discussions, and collaborate on exciting projects.
One of the key highlights of Nanophotonics: Close-Up for the Future is its emphasis on real-world applications. Participants explore how nanophotonics is driving innovations in telecommunications, quantum computing, biomedicine, and renewable energy. They learn about the development of advanced optical materials and metamaterials and how these innovations are poised to reshape industries and improve our life quality.
The programme includes workshops and lectures in:
- Optical Nanolithography
- Quantum pits, wires, points and rims in inorganic semiconductors
- Optical surface plasmons
- Near-field optical microscopy
- Carbon nanotube light emitters and receivers (Nanoantennas)
