The Summer School’s University Programme is a unique opportunity for university students and graduates from all over the world to discover Sciences Po over the course of a summer on our Paris campus. In 2025, the programme hosted almost 450 students, representing 60 different nationalities and a diverse range of academic and professional backgrounds.
Details
The Summer School programmes provide high school students, university students, graduates and professionals with an engaging learning experience and a unique opportunity to discover Sciences Po over the summer on our Paris campus or online!
THE UNIVERSITY PROGRAMMES: THE SOCIAL SCIENCES TRACK, THE FRENCH LANGUAGE TRACK, OR A COMBINATION!
Participants in the University Programmes can:
- Study Sciences Po’s key disciplines, such as international relations, political science, or economics, in the Social Sciences Track
- Immerse themselves in language courses in the French Language Track
- Combine the study of both fields and opt for an optional elective course to go further
Both academic tracks are offered during the June and July sessions. For each session, students pick one core course from either academic track.
New this year: The Intensive Policy Lab!
The Summer School is offering a brand-new Intensive Policy Lab, which offers students the opportunity to explore global issues through collaborative learning and creative problem-solving.
DATES
- June session: June 2nd - June 25th, 2026
- July session: June 30th - July 24th, 2026
- Policy Lab: July 6th - July 17th, 2026
The University Programme offers two academic tracks in social sciences and French language. Both tracks are available during each session of the Summer School. In addition to their core social sciences or French courses, students may choose to expand their curriculum by adding an elective course for an additional cost.
Application timeline and deadlines
The University Programme has rolling admissions; the admission jury meets regularly and candidates may expect to receive a response approximately two to three weeks after submitting a complete application.
Courses are open to admitted students on a first-come, first-served basis and will be closed when they are full. Candidates are therefore encouraged to apply in advance to ensure availability in their first-choice class, if they are admitted. Please note that several courses offered in Summer 2020 were closed after reaching maximum enrolment and not all admitted candidates were able to choose their first-choice class.
