As the demand for semiconductors is on an inextricable rise, the industry’s future has never been brighter. The global shortage of chips highlights the need of having more talents to join the industry in order to remedy the supply-demand imbalance.

Taiwan Welcomes More Talents Worldwide

Taiwan’s chipmakers are urging to hire talents. The semiconductor industry is facing a shortage of about 30,000 people per month. This year, Taiwan’s top two chipmakers, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and MediaTek Inc. are hoping to hire more than 10,000 people.

Students of Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Poland, or Slovakia origin admitted to selected semiconductor research programs from 5 universities (NTU, NCKU, NTHU, NYCU, NSYSU).

Master: Up to EUR 27,000

  • Tuition Fee Reimbursement NTD 80,000 (EUR 2,584) per academic year
  • Monthly Stipend NTD 25,000 (EUR 807)
  • Round-trip Flight Ticket to and from Taiwan

PhD: Up to EUR 74,000

  • Tuition Fee Reimbursement NTD 80,000 (EUR 2,584) per academic year
